It is an ideal reward for employees and customers, and a sought-after corporate incentive event. Whatever the reason, this rugby
weekend in Hong Kong will be a winner!
Hong Kong is the epitome of 'New Asia' with a fascinating blend of Asian and Western cultures mixing together in business and leisure
lifestyles enjoyed by residents and visitors alike. Ten years ago the administration of Hong Kong was passed from the British to the
Chinese Government. The Chinese recognised the importance of Hong Kong as a trading base and gateway to the western economic world and
so left the city state to carry on much as it had under the British regime. Locals might say that some things have changed, but they
cannot deny that their standard of living is amongst the highest in the modern world.
Tourism, meetings and conventions are an important aspect to Hong Kong's undoubted success story. The Hong Kong Convention &
Exhibition Centre is one of Hong Kong's defining landmarks, which was opened in time for the 'handover' ceremony from British to
Chinese administration back in 1997. From a sporting perspective Horse Racing promoted by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, and the famous
Hong Kong Sevens tournament have jointly funded a modern and well-positioned National Stadium in the Causeway Bay district of Hong Kong
Island. With a capacity of 40,000 mostly covered seats, this venue is predicted to be sold-out well in advance of the test match in
October.
Today Hong Kong is a cruising and airline hub in the centre of Asia, with close transport and trading links to North America, China,
South East Asia, the Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
Investment in developments and infrastructure has leapt ahead under Chinese rule with many 'mega-projects' being completed in the past
ten years. Today, Hong Kong is a vibrant, exciting city of the world, with a myriad of attractions, classy hotels, endless dining
options and shopping that meets all budgets; from markets to malls and boutiques to department stores, Hong Kong really has it all.
Since 1985 we have been arranging annual tours and packages to the famous Hong Kong Sevens. Literally thousands of New Zealanders have
travelled with Williment Sports Travel to Hong Kong over the past 25 years. Our experienced staff know Hong Kong intimately and can
provide valuable advice on most aspects of this exciting destination. Williment Sports Travel has been organising packages and tours
following the All Blacks for over forty years. We have earned an enviable reputation for quality tour arrangements at a reasonable
price. We do not skimp on inclusions, but we strive to provide good value for money and a lasting, once-in-a-lifetime experience. A
testimony to our success is the large number of 'repeat' clients that we welcome back, time and again.
From Hong Kong you could extend your holiday into China or you could take our Rugby & Racing Tour, which includes the Melbourne Cup
after Hong Kong. Then there is the wonderful Grand Slam Tour opportunity following the All Blacks in the UK and Ireland as they take on
England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales on consecutive weekends after the Hong Kong test.
Please read on and we look forward to you joining our tours to Hong Kong in October.
With kind regards to all.
Yours sincerely,
The team at Williment Sports Travel.
